How the ranking works

The Hall of Fame does not show who started most often. It shows who raced strongest — across several races, not on a single good day.

English is the reference version of these rules. Where a translation differs from it, the English wording applies.

Points per race

Every result is converted into points:

Points = 1000 × (1 − (place − 1) / starters)^2 × event weight

Three things go into it:

Placing relative to the field.
Winning against 300 starters is worth more than winning against 5. What counts is not the place number but the share of the field left behind.
The gap at the front.
The curve rises with an exponent of 2: points are far apart at the front and close together at the back. There is a real difference between first and second place, and almost none between 250th and 260th — that is how sport is read, and that is how the ranking counts it.
The weight of the event.
A world championship counts for more than an open race. Which event carries which weight is public.

Only the best results count, not all of them

The ranking uses the best 3 results within the ranking period.

The ranking period covers the last 24 months — currently 21 сент. 2024 г. to 21 сент. 2026 г..

There is a reason for this. If every result were added up, whoever entered the most races would win, even without ever finishing near the front. And whoever won a single race and never started again would top the list without having confirmed it over a season.

Counting only the best 3 results removes both effects. Enter once and the remaining slots stay empty. Enter often but finish at the back and nothing accumulates, because only the best results count. What gets you to the top is being strong repeatedly.

Results that do not score

Did not start, did not finish, or disqualified earns no points — but it does not count as a bad result either; it simply stays out. Where the number of starters is unknown, the share of the field cannot be determined; such results are shown but not scored, and are marked as such.

Separate rankings

Rankings are kept separately for Fitness and Speed and by the categories entered. A combined ranking across all of them is shown as well.

Changes

If the rule changes, it is noted here with the date, and the previous version remains available.

Rankings get screenshotted and disputed months later. Every earlier version therefore stays available together with the period in which it applied.

There has only ever been one version of this rule.
